Athlete Evaluations

At the beginning of the year we will do an Athletic Evaluation. This allows us to get a baseline for each individual.

The Athletic Index is our starting point for measuring an athlete’s current physical development. It combines key athletic traits such as speed, agility, explosiveness, strength, and overall movement ability into a single baseline score. This score is not used to determine an athlete’s value, potential, or playing time—it simply helps us understand where each athlete is beginning their journey.

We use the Athletic Index to track growth and development over time. By establishing a baseline at the start of the season, coaches can identify strengths, target areas for improvement, and measure progress throughout the year. Our goal is not to compare athletes against one another, but to help each athlete become a better version of themselves through consistent effort, training, and development.

HOW TO PREPARE FOR OUR ATHLETIC EVALUATION

Evaluations aren’t about talent — they’re about preparation, effort, and mindset.

Every athlete will be tested through our Athletic Index:

✔ Speed (40-Yard Dash)

✔ Explosion (Broad Jump)

✔ Agility (Shuttle + 3 Cone)

✔ Strength (Push-Ups)

From there, we evaluate position-specific skills — from QB accuracy and WR hands, to RB power, trench dominance, and defensive reaction.

How to Show Up Ready:

🔹 Get reps in — sprint, cut, jump, and move daily

🔹 Focus on fundamentals — clean technique beats raw effort

🔹 Bring energy — we evaluate motor every rep

🔹 Be coachable — attitude matters just as much as ability

🔹 Compete — iron sharpens iron

This is a high-level program — we’re building athletes ready for the next level, not just the next game.
